Happy to meet you!

Believe it or not, the first birth I ever photographed was when I was 16 and my cat gave birth! I continued to make photographs all through adulthood. In 2017 I photographed & filmed my first human birth. I have loved being behind the lens in the birth space.I truly feel that you are so beautiful and powerful during birth. My goal is to make images that YOU see the beauty and strength during the transformation

My love for all things birth began 23 years ago when I was pregnant with my 1st son. I was so prepared for labor and delivery but no one explained to me how everything would change the minute they laid him in my arms. I was a mother! I was overcome with a love that I had never experienced before. My one regret of the that day is I don’t have very many photos to look back on.

I went on to birth 7 more babies in 3 different countries. I have had home births, hospital births, and water births.  I truly believe that all of my experience surrounding birth has prepared me for being a birth photographer and doula.

I am also a student midwife at Midwives College of Utah and I co-host a podcast called “Mindful Birth, Peaceful Earth” check it out here:

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
– Aaron Siskind

Birth is transformational, no matter how many times you do it! Labor is hard, partly because you are birthing a new part of yourself. Here is a video of the birth of my 8th child, Atticus Thomas
